How far did you have to walk to get some clean drinking water today?
What do Santigold, Jessica Biel, Emile Hirsch and Lupe Fiasco all have in common?
They, as well as several others, are CURRENTLY climbing all 19,340 feet of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Tanzania, Africa to fight the global clean water crisis and more importantly to raise awareness about this ongoing issue.
They are, doing this extreme thing to qualify the extreme nature of the issue. The climb, which began this morning at 5:30am, will likely take seven days and is more than 50 miles of treacherous terrain.
